Mrs. Coulter before she was Mrs Coulter (wonder what her maiden name was?). The ice queen of Pullman's His Dark Materials as a gel of 16. I usually imagine her in a 20s-type-setting (as did the makers of The Golden compass, I noticed) but a more 30s Marisa seemed appropriate somehow. I've got all sorts of ideas about how Mrs. Coulter's life may have been before she married Edward Coulter and I hope I get round to making a story out of it. In the meantime, a drawing will have to suffice. Her daemon is drawn with reference to a squirrell monkey, btw, cos I never imagine Pullman meant the species 'golden monkey' when he used the phrase - I imagine a monkey that is golden  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
